MOOC Facilitators and TAs

​Marianne Krasny is a Professor and Director of the Civic Ecology Lab in the Department of Natural Resources at Cornell University, specializing in community environmental stewardship and environmental education in urban and other settings in the US and internationally.

I am Yue Li, co-instructor for this course. I am from Yunnan, China, and received my PhD from Cornell University in 2016. Through my research and outreach, I seek to understand how networking among environmental educators in face-to-face and online learning communities fosters innovation in their environmental education practice. I look forward to exploring different EE programs with you all from around the world! Enjoy the course!

Hi! My name is Annie Armstrong, and I am a PhD student working with Marianne Krasny. My background is in environmental education (primarily residential environmental education), and my masters research was on climate change communication in environmental education. I coordinate our MOOC TA program and look forward to learning about Urban EE alongside you all!

Hi all, I’m Alex Kudryavtsev, an instructor in this Urban Environmental Education online course.  

I’m originally from Russia (Siberia, and the Black Sea area). I got my MS (2006) and PhD (2013) degrees in environmental education at Cornell University. I work at Cornell as an Extension Associate — teaching online courses and doing environmental education research.

I was also fortunate to travel around the world to observe environmental education programs on all 7 continents. I love learning from environmental educators, share and exchange ideas that improve environmental education practices.
